Gemini 1.5 Pro now available for public use!

• In a Nutshell: Last month, Google announced their latest upgrade to their Gemini AI software that shocked the world with their interactive video. If you missed that one, check out the video below. You can now finally play around with Gemini 1.5 Pro that lets you upload actual videos, images and books and interact with them.

• Sip More: Visit the Google AI Studio website. Make sure Gemini 1.5 Pro is selected under model at the top right of the page. Try uploading a photo to start with and ask the AI some questions about it! I was impressed with the responses I got from a photo of my friends and I doing an ice dip off a dock in Canada.

Lyrebird - Doctors notes made easy for GPs

• In a Nutshell: My mother in-law was at the doctors the other day in Australia. As she sat down, the General Practitioner (GP) let her know that their appointment was being recorded by AI! Being the curious mind about AI that she is, she learned all about the doctors’ latest AI software ‘Lyrebird’ that they' implemented about 2 weeks prior. It records their whole conversation, being sure to make note of key medical terms and information the doctor provides to the patient; and then formulates it all into the doctors note that can quickly be edited and sent out immediately to the patient. The GP praised the ease and time saving that Lyrebird provided both during and post appointment.
